This free seminar focuses on communication with coaches and understanding communication styles — essential skills for every sports official. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or just starting out, mastering how to communicate effectively on and off the field can transform your officiating experience.
This event is open to anyone — interested in improving their communication skills in sports and beyond. No prior officiating experience is required.

Dr. Maggie Tieman
Sport & Performance Psychology Professional
Dr. Maggie Tieman is the founder of Mindset Matters LLC, built on the belief that nothing is impossible. Her work centers on the idea that the mental aspect of our existence is just as important as the physical — but it is rarely trained with the same intensity.
Dr. Maggie teaches that the pattern of human behavior is predictable, and once we learn to recognize and apply these patterns, we can adjust our approach to meet the needs of anyone we work with. As she puts it: “Success is based on the richness of relationships” — whether within our own minds, with another person, or a group.
